THE HARWINTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The Harwinton Historical Society will offer a $1000 scholarship.
- Student must reside in Harwinton and/or active in the Harwinton Historical Society.
- Scholarship must be used to pursue a post-secondary education by a graduating high school senior or a student currently pursuing education beyond the high school level.
- Applicant must show an interest in history/social science through coursework and/or experiences.

BRONC CALLAHAN COMMUNITY FUND, INC.
This scholarship is in memory of Pete Salwocki, a long-time Harwinton resident and a founding father of the Bronc Callahan Community Fund, Inc. Mr. Salwocki, along with Bronc Callahan, exemplified the spirit of community service and volunteerism.
Criteria:
- The student must be a resident of Harwinton.
- The student will attend an accredited institution of higher education. It is understood that if for any reason the student should not attend, the funds will be returned to the Community Fund so that they can be issued to another applicant.
- The student has been active in community, school, and/or religious functions and has demonstrated the characteristics of good citizenship and volunteerism.
- The student has a demonstrated financial need and can provide FAFSA forms or comparable financial verification. You must provide this information, or you will be disqualified.
- The student has demonstrated academic achievement.
- The student can provide a letter or letters of recommendation from a non-family member.
- Previous applicants and/or current college students are encouraged to apply.

The family of Kailey Prenoveau is offering a $2,000 scholarship. The only criteria is writing a 2 paragraph essay:
Kailey lived her life “Fiercely” and always worked to rise to the challenge of whatever was thrown her way. Tell us about a time where you were considered the underdog, and you had to rise to the occasion. How has this experience shaped who you are today?

James L. Bement Scholarship
3 Scholarships of $1000 each will be awarded to Harwinton students who will graduate from Lewis S. Mills High School in June of 2023.
Applicants must attend a trade school (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, nursing, EMT, automotive, computers, culinary, cosmetology, etc.) and will be considered on the basis of:
- Resident of Harwinton
- Good citizenship
- Accepted to an accredited trade school

The Burlington Lions Club is offering 3 scholarships @ $1143. The scholarships are offered to graduating BURLINGTON seniors who will attend 2-year or 4-year colleges/technical schools.

- possible special circumstances that contribute to financial need

The CJSA Central District is now accepting applications for consideration from college-bound soccer players who will be graduating in 2023.
Criteria:
Must be a dedicated soccer player and have played soccer with a CJSA affiliated club
Must have C+ average or better and graduate high school in 2022 with plans to attend a school of higher education,
Must submit a 250-word essay on the subject : What Soccer Means to Me.
Essay and completed applications must be received by APRIL 30, 2023.

LEWIS S. MILLS SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Lewis S. Mills Scholarship Fund, Inc., managed by Region #10 citizens, will award several scholarships. All LSM seniors who will continue their education at 2- or 4-year colleges, vocational schools, or military academies are invited to apply. he deadline for submission of applications is 3/14/23. Applications submitted after 3/14/23 and/or incomplete applications will NOT be considered.
In addition to completing the application, students are requested to participate in a 10-minute interview to be scheduled the week of April 18.

The Burlington Police Union Local #2693U is offering 3 scholarships to assist students pursuing their education after high school. Applicants must be graduating from Lewis S. Mills High School in June 2022.
Applicants must:
- Pursue 2- or 4-year degree in a discipline related to Criminal Justice (Homeland Security, Criminology, Forensic Science, etc.)
- Submit a 1-page essay describing their interest in a law enforcement career
