The Harwinton Historical Society will offer a $1000 scholarship.

The Litchfield County Tax Collectors Association is offering a scholarship in the amount of $500.
The applicant must:

The Isidore Wise Scholarship Program was established through a generous bequest from Mr. Isidore Wise, a member of the Newington Children’s Hospital Board of Directors for 45 years.
This year, there will be 6 scholarships in the amount of $10000 each. Mr. Wise instructed that the funds be used for scholarships for worthy students who are/have been patients of Newington Children’s Hospital, CT Children’s Medical Center, and/or the CCMS School.

These will be education scholarships to benefit the families of firefighters. The Fund will support at least two $500 Firefighters Scholarships.
Criteria:
To be eligible to apply for the Scholarship you must be either: a Firefighter, or the spouse, child, sibling or grandchild of a firefighter. Scholarship A will be awarded to an eligible applicant from the Southington Fire Department. Scholarship B will be awarded to an eligible applicant from any Fire Department in the State of Connecticut. The basis of the scholarship is defined by volunteerism. Because of the nature of Justin's life, everything was volunteering, whether it was for the Fire Department, the Lions Club, the Boy Scouts, Church or helping his friends and family.

The Nancy H. Whipple Memorial Scholarship has been established in honor Nancy H. Whipple as a permanent remembrance of her. Nancy devoted 23 years of support to the children of Lake Garda Elementary School, focusing her energy on the success of all students. Nancy’s cooperative attitude, positive personality, and enthusiasm continue to be an inspiration to all who knew her. In her role, Nancy became a beloved friend to the entire Lake Garda community.

BRONC CALLAHAN COMMUNITY FUND, INC.
This scholarship is in memory of Pete Salwocki, a long-time Harwinton resident and a founding father of the Bronc Callahan Community Fund, Inc. Mr. Salwocki, along with Bronc Callahan, exemplified the spirit of community service and volunteerism.
Criteria:
- The student must be a resident of Harwinton.
- The student will attend an accredited institution of higher education.It is understood that if for any reason the student should not attend, the funds will be returned to the Community Fund so that they can be issued to another applicant.
- The student has been active in community, school, and/or religious functions and has demonstrated the characteristics of good citizenship and volunteerism.
- The student has a demonstrated financial need and can provide FAFSA forms or comparable financial verification. You must provide this information or you will be disqualified.
- The student has demonstrated academic achievement.

The Lewis S. Mills Scholarship Fund, Inc., managed by Region #10 citizens, will award several scholarships. All LSM seniors who will continue their education at 2- or 4-year colleges, vocational schools, or military academies are invited to apply. he deadline for submission of applications is 3/15/21. Applications submitted after 3/15/21 and/or incomplete applications will NOT be considered.
In addition to completing the application, students are requested to participate in a 10-minute interview to be scheduled the week of April 26.

Middlesex County Blue Star Mothers-CT3
2021 Scholarship
The Middlesex County Blue Star Mothers CT3 is pleased to offer a $500 scholarship to be awarded to a Connecticut high school senior in the spring of 2021. The scholarship will be awarded to a senior who will be going on to a 4 year college and who has a parent (or legal guardian) actively serving in the military or a parent (or legal guardian) who is an honorably discharged Veteran. Military service includes the Army, Marines, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, National Guard and Reserves. Applications will be judged on the following criteria and in order of importance: Military Parent, Essay, Community Service, Need and GPA. Award winners will be asked to provide proof of parent’s military service.
The completed applications must be postmarked by April 2, 2021. Award to be decided and notification given to the student and school by May 20, 2021.

KARL J. SCHWARTZ ROTARY AWARD
The Bristol Rotary Scholarship Fund, Inc., has a scholarship program available to high school seniors residing in Bristol, BURLINGTON, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington, and Terryville. The scholarship program was funded by the late Karl J. Schwartz, a former Rotarian and Bristol native.
The scholarship program may award up to 10 scholarships, $8000 each, to high school seniors who are planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited 4-year college or university for the entire 2021-2022 academic year.
An essay describing your personal experiences as the relate to the Rotary motto, “Service Above Self” is required
The scholarships are renewable subject to the renewal conditions outlined in the program.
In addition to academic and other requirements, Financial Need is a key consideration in awarding the scholarships.
